Road and Bridge Construction Cost Quarterly 2010/11

A quarterly bulletin providing historical data and 5 year annual forecasts (to 2014/15) for construction costs in the road and bridge construction sector. Subscribers receive all 4 quarterly reports through 2010/11, with all data tables and forecasts provided in Excel format.

Road and bridge construction costs are linked to broader cost trends in the building and construction industry. Growth in construction costs tends to be linked to the amount of construction activity going on at any time. Construction costs also vary due to changes in commodity prices determined in global markets (e.g. steel and oil).

Each quarterly bulletin contains:

  • The latest quarterly data on road and bridge construction activity by state and a brief commentary on the outlook
  • The latest official index and price data for key roads inputs, including oil and oil products, concrete, cement and sand, steel and construction labour
  • The latest data and our 5 year annual forecasts for national and state cost indexes including the ABS’ Road and Bridge Construction Index.

The quarterly bulletins are useful as a regular and timely update on road and bridge construction trends, as well as providing an outlook for construction costs.

A discounted price is available if purchased as part of a Roads Package. Please see this brochure for details.

Published in August, November, February and May.
