Paul has 13 years experience in research environments. At BIS Shrapnel, Paul manages several large syndicated studies, in addition to ad-hoc private client projects across a range of industries. 
 
Paul manages The Household Appliances Market in Australia, a biennial series of reports examining the whitegoods, small appliances, climate control and hot water system markets through extensive consumer and retailer surveys. 
 
In addition, he also manages the syndicated studies Consumer Perspectives on Power Tools in Australia and The Barbecuse Market in Australia 
 
In October 2005, Paul launched a new study, The Home Theatre Market in Australia; a consumer based report examining the explosion in flat screen televisions and related componentary.  
 
Paul has also been involved in BIS Shrapnel's Building and Construction in the Asia Pacific Region, producing reports for several Asian countries. He has spent time working in these countries and is familiar with doing business in South East Asia.  
 
Paul was heavily involved in the TRADENZ commissioned project, Australian Attitudes towards New Zealand Products and Services, including face-to-face interviewing, desk research and day-to-day management of the project.  
 
In 2003, he also produced the report, New Zealand Companies: Getting Established in Australia - The Issues for New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, exploring issues faced by small and medium sized New Zealand companies, endeavouring to establish themselves in the Australian market.
